Soft Romantic Glow
Richard glances at the clock with a smile. He has just enough time.
Dinner is warming in the kitchen as soft music plays quietly in the background.
Yet the house is looking much the same as it did on any other evening.But... Richard has a sweet idea!
He places several tea light candles around the room and carefully lights them one by one.
Tiny flames begin to flicker against the china he placed on the table, and a warm glow is filling the room.A few minutes later, the front door opens as his wife, Deborah walks in.
She calls out for him in amazement. “Richard?”
He responds back, “In here, love.”
Deborah continues into the next room and immediately pause.
In the moment she is simply looking around until her eyes capture Richard
standing beside the dinner table.“What is all this?” Deborah is asking, with a big smile on her face.
"It's not my birthday and it's not our anniversary."Richard removes Deborah's purse from her shoulder, he helps to take off her coat and he pulls out her chair.
Richard then looks into Deborah's eyes and says “I just believe my beautiful wife deserves to have a spontaneous romantic evening.”Deborah bashfully smiles with a light laugh before looking back at Richard and asking,
“You did all of this just because?” “Yes, Just because”, Richard says.Richard and Deborah linger over dinner much longer than usual.
They reminisce about memories,
they laugh about past adventures they shared and they
dream out loud about hopes for their future.Dinner, music and conversation, with the gentle flickers of tiny candles illuminating a couple
who does not need a special occasion to experience romance...

Dinner is ready and the table is set. Nichole standing in the kitchen looking over the food and desserts she prepared for her husband, as one of their favorite songs began to play softly from the next room.Suddenly she notice a box of chocolate covered strawberries that are obviously supposed to be a surprise.
She smiles and think, “This is a perfect finishing touch”, as her heart begans to melt with gratitude.A few minutes later, Nichole meet her husband, Patrick, in the dinning room to sit down for their meal.
Now that they are done eating, Patrick volunteers to clear the table and wash the dinner dishes.His plan was to return to the dinning room with the chocolate covered strawberries.
However, to his surprise, they are not where he left them.Patrick returns to the dinning room and there he is shocked to see the table filled with treats, and
Nichole holding the entire box of the strawberries he purchased.“Those were supposed to be a surprise” Patrick says, with a big smile on his face. Nicole laugh and say,
“You know how much I love these, and they go well with what I have planed for you”Patrick laugh playfully, shakes his head and reach for one of those
delicious chocolate covered strawberries.Still in a playful mood, Nicole gently moves the box out of reach and says,
“Not so fast.”
"For real Nichole, I can't have one?", says Patrick, as they both continue to laugh.“You can have one honey, as soon as you answer one question for me”
says Nicole, as she try to stop laughing.
With a puzzled look, Patrick ask, “so there's a catch?”Nicole picks up one of the strawberries and begins to wave it in Patrick's face and asking,
“What is one memory of us that still makes your heart smile?”
Patrick's playful expression softens as he think for a moment and then begin to speak.One memory leading to another, as they laugh over stories from the past.
They are finishing each other's sentences, yet occasionally disagree about the exact details.Somewhere between the memories, the laughter and the yummy treats, an ordinary evening
becomes something neither of them had imagined it would be. It is sweet, romantic and
an evening they both hope to never forget, because:
Blooming Affection
Renee has been home from work for about an hour. the strange thing is that her husband,
Charles has not yet made it home. He would typically be no more than 30 minutes behind her.
Suddenly the doorbell rings. Renee walks toward the front door, thinking that
Charles must have forgotten or lost his keys. To her surprise, however, it is not Charles.
Instead it is a delivery driver with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. She receives and signs for the flowers.
Next, she takes them into the house and begin to read the card that is tucked inside.
There is only a few words: "Meet me on the porch."
Renee smiles. She opens the door and finds Charles sitting outside, waiting for her.
Carrying the flowers and holding up the card. Renee says to Charles, “Okay- What's going on?”
Charles grins and say, “I bought my beautiful wife some beautiful flowers.”
“I can see that, but why?”, Renee ask.
Charles stands up, walk toward Renee and kisses her gently as he ask, “Do I need a specific reason?”
Renee is smiling ear to ear, yet she is still waiting for the rest of the story.
Laughing, Charles says, “I have been thinking about the moment we first met and
how excited I would be when I knew I was going to get to see you.
Then I realized something.”
Cutting him off, Renee ask, “What exactly did you realize?"
Charles pauses a bit, then says, “I get to come home to you every single day.”
For a moment, Renee is saying absolutely nothing.
Instead, she is simply looking at the bouquet of flowers.
Years ago, when Charles and Renee were dating, flowers from Charles meant,
"I'm falling in love with you." Today, the flowers mean so much more.
"After all these years we have shared", says Charles, "I'm still in love with you."
Renee slips her arm around Charles and they hold each other close,
as they smile and walk into the house together.
Renee places her flowers in water, centering them on the table to symbolize:

Love flourish when nurtured with care.
Sometimes love calls for gestures that feel
a little more special, a little more memorable, and a little more sweet.
